At least 95 percent of Fortune 500 companies contribute to disaster relief. This may seem obvious, but in 1990 that percentage was less than 20 percent.
This roundtable discussion will explore why companies give, what effective disaster philanthropy looks like, and how relief can be more effective.
AmCham member companies and nonprofits will share their experience providing disaster relief in Kazakhstan and other countries. The session will be moderated by AmCham Executive Director Jeff Erlich, who prior was Chevron's lead global advisor on disaster relief, with a presentation by the Red Crescent of Kazakhstan.
The session will be held at Narxoz, to allow participants to continue the discussion at the AmCham Sundowner at 6 pm, also at Narxoz.
